The Feature County 2008

Since March 1996, Clwyd no longer exists as a county. This year’s Feature County includes the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy and Wrexham. The more industrial areas of Flintshire and Wrexham contrast with the rural areas of Conwy and South Denbighshire.

Clwyd is a diverse and changing county stretching nearly 2,500 square kilometres from Rhyl to Prestatyn on the North Wales coast; to Llangollen in the South; Pentrefoelas in the West and Overton and beyond in the East.
